MY PERSONAL SWOT ANALYSIS
Strengths
My greatest strength is my dedication and commitment to my team. Any time I know another person is relying on me, I do everything I can to follow through on a promise or to hold up my end as an active and effective team member. So much of what we do in the business world involves efficient team work and effective communication. I pride myself on being a great team player and maintaining communication so that my team and I are always on the same page. I am never afraid to ask questions or admit when I'm wrong because I know the end result of being a good communicator and team player is always worth it.
Weaknesses
My biggest weakness is my ability to manage stress. I have found it necessary to work on finding stress-management techniques to avoid feeling overwhelmed and have begun attempting to implement them in my every day life. This stems from my habit of focusing all my energy into any active projects I may have. I have worked to find better ways to manage stress and have learned it's okay to admit when something is too much for you.

Knowing this weakness I have found myself seeking out higher intensity internships so that I can not only learn more and throw myself into a new environment, but learn how to manage myself so that I can provide the best for my team. I find that facing the source of a problem head on is the best way to find a solution and by putting myself into new situations that may otherwise be out of my comfort zone I have seen tremendous self growth.
Opportunities
My choice in studies will create many opportunities for me. In today's business world, many lines between departments are beginning to blur. I chose to study both Marketing and Project Management in undergrad to prepare me for what I might face in my Marketing Intelligence graduate program. Understanding the analytical side of marketing to draw inferences on consumer behavior, patterns, and relationships is crucial in the professional world.
In just the first semester of my graduate program I have become certified in Inbound Marketing through HubSpot, Google Analytics, and Google Ad Search. I know my educational experiences paired with my professional experiences are shaping me into a skilled marketer who can not only understand the traditional aspects of marketing, but understand and interpret data surrounding the evolving digital aspect of marketing that is becoming so heavily relied upon today.
Threats
The business workforce is highly competitive. I know upon graduation from Towson, I will need a competitive advantage amongst my peers in order to get into my desired field. My internship with United Way has helped me with this goal, as I have already been exposed to active marketing tactics, analyzed data, and learned how to critically think through observation, research, and brainstorming solutions for the organization. On top of my experiences, my grad program at Towson is shaping me into a marketing professional capable of analytical analyses to better understand marketing data and what said data means for a company.
